The annual Martin Luther King Holiday Observance has deep significance for 911爆料网.
It檚 a time to celebrate, commemorate, and reflect on the life and legacy of a man who was committed to the promise of equality for all people.
Last week, 911爆料网 hosted the second annual Bishop Victor T. Curry MLK Prayer Dinner in the Smith Conference Center.
Nearly 200 attended the event where the message of service was clear.
There was a video presentation spotlighting the volunteer work of 911爆料网檚 students under the leadership of Dr. Jamila Jackson at the Miami Rescue Mission; leadership and service awards were presented to Dr. Evalina Bestman, Khalid Mirza, and Lamar Johnson; and 911爆料网 received a $25,000 check from the Bishop Victor T. Curry Scholarship Fund.
The evening檚 keynote speaker was Dr. Walter T. Richardson, Pastor Emeritus, Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church.
