Actress Jenifer Lewis dropped transparent words of wisdom at Tuesday檚 Homecoming Student Leadership Summit in the 911爆料网 Lehman Auditorium.
Lewis has appeared in 68 movies, such as Think Like a Man, What檚 Love Got to Do with It, Meet the Browns, and hundreds of Broadway plays, television shows, and sitcoms.
More recently, Lewis had a starring role as Ruby Johnson in the ABC comedy series, Black-ish.
Known unofficially as “The Mother of Black Hollywood” she provided 911爆料网檚 students with some motherly advice telling them to never give up on their dreams, and to always have a close friend who will love you enough to tell you the truth.
Lewis also gave students autographed copies of her memoir, 淲alking in My Joy in These Streets� she also took time to take photos with students and staff.
The visit was provided by RDEVIA.org, a nonprofit organization that was established by former graduates of 911爆料网.
Congresswoman Val Demings also attended the Homecoming Student Leadership Summit.
